Catherine Lavelle - biography
With an extensive career in the film and television industry, both in Australia and overseas, Catherine Lavelle established CLPR in 1999. In 2001 CLPR was appointed by 20th Century Fox Film Distributors to handle the Australian marketing and publicity campaigns for the Fox Searchlight catalogue. CLPR is currently working with the Premium Movie Partnership on the December 1 launch of the new premium channel SHOWCASE. Working with a number of theatrical distributors CLPR has been responsible for the Australian publicity and marketing campaigns for over 60 international feature films to date.
Catherine began her career with Warner Bros in 1983, before working with international sales company Playpont Films and Henson International Television (HIT!), with responsibility for the international marketing and advertising campaigns for their catalogue of programming. She also assisted with negotiations on pre-financing productions and the organisation of co-productions with major European broadcasters. During her career, Catherine has been strategically involved in the publicity and international marketing campaigns for a number of Australian features and television programs. She has also worked as Head of Publicity and Promotions for the Beyond Group, Marketing Manager for Beyond Films and Manager, Network Publicity for Network TEN.Audio download
